Bybit: presentation and registration

Bybit, what is it?

1. Bybit is a cryptocurrency exchange created in 2018 that offers services  for buying and selling cryptocurrencies. It is based in Singapore and is regulated by the Financial Services Authority of that same region. In addition to buying and selling cryptocurrencies, Bybit also allows you to trade futures contracts, do copy-trading, generate interest through staking or even participate in launchpools. With advanced analytical tools and an intuitive user interface, Bybit offers a professional trading experience for both novice and experienced traders.

Register on Bybit

1. Signing up to Bybit is simple and can be done on a PC or a mobile device. There are no major differences between registering via PC and registering via mobile. Signing up via mobile can sometimes be faster. For the purpose of this article, we will introduce PC registration.

Create an account Bybit

1. After clicking on the referral link, you are redirected to the Bybit registration page.

3. Enter your personal information: your name, your email address and a secure password.

Verifying your email address

1. Bybit wants to verify your email address. To do this, click on the activation link sent by Bybit to your inbox.

2. Once logged in, Bybit offers you to make your first deposit, buy crypto or complete your identity verification.

4. Choose what you want to do. You can also skip these steps and access your account immediately. To do this, click "I want to skip this step for now".

6. Note that verification of your account can be done later. At this point, you have completed level 0 verification following your registration. You will need to pass level 1 verification.

Level 1 Verification

1. To increase your trading and withdrawal limits, you need to complete level 1 verification.

3. This mechanism responds to financial regulationions (KYC).

5. To start verification, select "Do verification".

Identity Verification

1. Next, you must fill in your usual place of residence and select the type of identity document you wish to provide to Bybit: identity card, passport or conduct.

3. But before giving more information, choose the method you want to provide your identity document. You have the choice between "Upload credentials from your PC" or "Verify documents on your mobile phone".

2. After filling in your main place of residence, selecting the type of identity document and choosing the method for verifying your identity document, follow the instructions to upload or take your photos correctly.

2. Take a video selfie either using your webcam or your Bybit mobile app. Avoid wearing glasses or a hat and make sure you are exposed to good light.

2. Before submitting all required documents, verify that all data provided to Bybit is valid. Then click on "Next".

2. Bybit will verify your identity within minutes. Sometimes the process may take longer due to the information submitted, the region or the number of account creation requests. You will receive an email once your identity verification is complete.

Securing your Bybit account with 2FA

1. It is important to secure your account by enabling two-step verification (2FA) to protect your account from unauthorized access. You can download and use a 2FA application such as Google Authenticator available at le Google Play store et on the Apple store.

3. To enable two-step verification (2FA) on Bybit, log in to your account using your email address and password. Then click on "Security setting" in the drop-down menu of your profile.

5. Then, click "Enable" next to the two-step verification option.

2. Enter the verification code received by email to continue activating Google Authenticator.

4. Then click "Confirm".

2. If you haven't already, download the Google Authenticator app or another 2FA app.

4. Next, open the 2FA app and scan the QR code displayed on Bybit's two-step verification page.

6. Enter the code generated by your 2FA application on the verification page and click "confirm".

8. Once this step is complete, Bybit will send you back to the login page to log in again, but this time with your 2FA code.
